
Shankar Sankaran
Shankar Sankaran PhD PMP®FIEAust CPEng is a Professor of Organisational Project Management at the School of the Built Environment at the Faculty of Design and Society at UTS. He is a Core Member of the Robotics Institute at the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology and member of the Industry Transformation Research Stream at his School. His research interests are in project governance and sociotechnical systems. Shankar started his career as an automation engineer and served as a project manager of major projects in industry before joining academia. He joined UTS in 2006 and teaches advanced level courses in a Master of Project Management Course and conducts research in project and construction management.
Shankar is a Chief Investigator and a member of the Executive Committee at the hub and contributes it the sociotechnical aspects of Human Robot Teaming. He is also responsible for reaching out to facilitate educational programs arising out of the hub’s work with peak bodies in engineering and construction.
