Chin-Teng (CT) Lin is a Distinguished Professor at School of Computer Science and Co-Director of the Australian Artificial Intelligence Institute (AAII) within the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology at the University of Technology Sydney, Australia. His research focuses on human-AI teaming (HAIT), fuzzy neural networks, and brain-computer interface (BCI). Lin contributed to two major areas of HAIT: (1) AI-assistive human performance augmentation and (2) Trustworthy HAIT to enhance the performance and reliability of human-machine cooperation based on the trust modelling and decision fusion of human and machine agents under various trust levels in HAIT. He was awarded Fellowship with the IEEE in 2005, and with the International Fuzzy Systems Association (IFSA) in 2012. He received the IEEE Fuzzy Systems Pioneer Award in 2017 and IEEE Lotfi A. Zadeh Award for Emerging Technologies in 2026.

CT is a Chief Investigator and Deputy Director at the hub and contributes to it the human-AI cooperation and Trustworthiness of Human Robot Teaming. He is also the Technology Theme leader responsible for guiding the fundamental research and development of AI and HAIT technology.
