Yang Song

Yang Song PhD is a Scientia Associate Professor and Associate Head of School (Research) in the School of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at UNSW Sydney. Her research interests are computer vision, deep learning and trustworthy AI. Her work is focused on developing novel deep learning methodologies that address real-world challenges such as scarcity of large-scale high-quality training data and the need for model transparency, generalisability and robustness. Yang was an ARC DECRA Fellow at the University of Sydney before joining UNSW in 2018 and obtained an ARC Future Fellowship in 2019.  

Yang is a Chief Investigator and contributes to the research programs on robot learning and robot ethics.
