Cynthia Changxin Wang

Cynthia Changxin Wang PhD MCIOB is an Associate Professor in Construction Management & Property at the School of Built Environment of the University of New South Wales (UNSW). She is an experienced researcher in applying various digital technologies to Building and Construction industry. Her expertise covers Building Information Modelling (BIM), Digital Twin, laser scanning and point cloud, Building Management System (BMS), Energy Management System (EMS), etc.  Cynthia started her academic career at UTS in 2002 after she obtained her PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of Sydney, and joined UNSW in 2011. Her research aims to utilise advanced digital technologies to improve productivity and sustainability of the construction industry.

Cynthia is a Chief Investigator of the HaRTCon ARC Research Hub, and will lead a BMS and EMS research project to collaborate with industry partners to improve performance and energy efficiency of educational and health care facilities, and large shopping centres.
