Daichao Sheng

Daichao Sheng (FTSE, FIEAust) is a Distinguished Professor of Civil Engineering at the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering. He was the Head of School during Jan 2019 – April 2025. His research spans unsaturated soils, computational geomechanics, transport geotechnics, environmental geomechanics, data-based solution and machine learning in civil engineering. He joined UTS Jan 2019.

Daichao is a Chief Investigator and contributes to the applications of Human Robot Teaming in civil and infrastructural engineering. He is an elected Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technological Science and Engineering (FTSE) and a Fellow of Institute of Engineers Australia (FIEAust).
