
Guodong Long
Guodong Long is an Associate Professor in the School of Computer Science within the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology (FEIT) at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS). He is the Co-Director of the Representation Learning for Machine Intelligence Lab at the Australian Artificial Intelligence Institute (AAII), where he drives cutting-edge research in AI and machine learning. Guodong has also served as the Technical Theme Leader of UTS’s cross-faculty Collaborative Hub for Digital, Virtual and AI in Health, leading the university’s interdisciplinary AI strategy to transform healthcare through innovation.
Recognised globally for his contributions to artificial intelligence, Guodong is ranked No. 21 worldwide in the AI 2000 Most Influential Scholar in AAAI/IJCAI (AMiner 2025) and is listed among Stanford’s 2025 World’s Top 2% Scientists. He also serves as General Co-Chair for the Australasian Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence (AJCAI 2025), to be hosted at ANU Canberra. A world-leading AI researcher, Guodong’s work advances the frontiers of AI technologies for the Human-Robot Teaming and intelligent systems. He leads a vibrant research group dedicated to delivering high-impact, industry-aligned AI solutions that shape the future of technology and human collaboration.
