Greg Peters

Greg Peters BE(Hons), MEngM, CPEng is the Field Robotics and Automation lead at the Laing O’Rourke’s Technology and Innovation group. His work focuses on maximising the adoption and use of robotic systems and automation technologies for the construction sector. 

Greg’s career spans over 15 years in product innovation and development across enterprise, academia, and industry partnerships, as well as start-ups and SMEs. His experience includes field robotics for construction and maintenance, environmental and sustainable technology innovation, equipment hire and innovative business services. Having worked as both a developer and a technology buyer, Greg brings a unique perspective to bridging technical and commercial requirements. 

He is a co-founder of a successful university commercialisation that deployed world-first robotic abrasive blasting technology developed at UTS which saw international deployment across bridges, rail, aerospace, marine, and industrial infrastructure. Greg also holds several patents and developed countless bespoke complex machines used by Australian industry. 

Greg earned an Honours degree in Mechatronic and Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Engineering Management from the University of Technology Sydney.
