Alireza Ahmadian Fard Fini

Dr Alireza Ahmadian Fard Fini brings over 23 years of industry, teaching, and research experience to his role in the School of the Built Environment at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), where he focuses on improving construction productivity through automation and workforce management using data, imagery, and analytics. His recent work includes applying deep learning and computer vision for indoor construction progress monitoring—enabling automated as-built detection and workflow measurement—and developing autopilot drone systems for material handling on job sites. Alongside these digital innovations, his research spans mental health in construction workforces and mass-customisation in timber construction, reflecting a comprehensive and impactful approach to transforming the built environment.
