Maurice Pagnucco

Professor Maurice Pagnucco is a leading researcher in artificial intelligence, cognitive robotics, and knowledge representation, serving as Deputy Dean (Education) of the Faculty of Engineering at UNSW Sydney. He previously led the School of Computer Science and Engineering from 2010 to 2019. A Professorial Fellow at the iCinema Centre for Interactive Cinema Research, he is also Deputy Director of the Creative Robotics Lab and Co-Director of the Intelligent Environments Lab. His research interests encompass belief revision, reasoning about action and change, and machine ethics. He has authored over 190 publications, including influential works on dynamic belief revision and cognitive robotics applications in disassembly automation. His contributions have earned him recognition in the field of artificial intelligence.
