Karen Lin

Karen Lin is a PhD researcher at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), working within the Human-Robot Teaming in Construction (HaRTCon) research hub. With an interdisciplinary background in psychological science, criminology and project management, her research explores the human, organisational and cultural dimensions of human–robot collaboration in the construction industry.

Adopting a socio-technical systems (STS) perspective, her research focuses on organisational justice, trust, change management and workforce transitions. With a people-centred approach, she is particularly passionate about bridging the gap between academic innovation and practical industry adoption, ensuring that emerging technologies are not only technically effective but also safe, equitable and responsive to the needs of the people working alongside them.
